5 With the ¼" (6mm) 45° V-tool, establish the bandages that wrap around the body. I do not mark the layout with a pencil, as I find that it looks better when done freehand. Lay the V-tool on its side (see sidebar) and use it like a chisel to create a sense of overlap. I start on the head and work my way down the body to the feet.

6 Finish up the carving by making sure there are no hanging chips. Clean up the bandages and add any final details.
